Sharon took Ginny & Nathan to the YMCA today. This would be the first time that Ginny would have experienced being in a pool other than her bathtub (to our knowledge). From what Sharon reported, she took to it without fear and especially loved the kiddy slide they had there.

Easter Fun & Splendor
This was Ginny's first Easter with us, and she also enjoyed her first Egg Hunt, which because of damp grass was held indoors this year, as well as dying eggs at home Here are some various shots of Easter Festivities with the kids. Still feels weird saying "kids" and not "kid." Also, our church, Southside Baptist Church, restarted the tradition of having a living cross this Easter. Many families pose in front of it in their Easter finest on their way into or leaving worship. So, we took a shot of the kids at the cross as well.

Ginny reads apologetics
Ginny picked up a book the other night and proceeded "reading" it to us. It is not uncommon for her to mimic our daily rituals like bedtime book reading. However, what was interesting is that the book she grabbed from the nightstand was a Lee Stroebel apologetics book "Finding the Real Jesus" that we had used as a part of a study at church we went through a few years ago. Not exactly "light reading" mind you. Impressive for a three year old that hardly knows English. :)
And to clarify, when she says "EEEEEE" and looks at the camera, that's the noise we ask her to make when we take her picture to get her to smile (aka "cheese"). She thought she was having a picture taken, not a video, so she attempts to pose.
Sleeping Beauties
Ginny has gotten in the habit of wanting to go with Nathan to bed, and tonight she actually fell asleep before we could put her into her own room.

Buddying with Buddy
Peepers has gotten quite used to having Buddy around now. They still don't have quite the relationship he and Hunter shared, but they are getting a bit cuddly and playful with each other, as we figured they would eventually do. Molly is still having issues with the new family member, but she's graduated to the point that she will not hide when he's in the room.

Beary Happy Family
Yesterday we went to Concord Mills to have Ginny make her own Build-a-bear with a gift certificate that we received as a welcome home gift. After some deliberation, Ginny finally decided that she wanted not a bear, but a monkey. Ginny decided to call her monkey, well, uh....Monkey. I know, creative. So, Monkey joins our now complete Build-a-Bear family which includes Nathan's "Turtley Turtle" and bears that Sharon and I have had for about 10 years.

Nathan and Ginny were both in somewhat of a dancing mood when we returned home today, as this video illustrates...
