China Adoption - where we are (sigh)

We get an update as to the status of our adoption "dossier" about once every month. As of right now, sadly we still have about 16 months to go before receiving a referral, which would be July of 2010. This is a couple of months further than what we had been anticipating - we had thought May. And since you usually don't travel until a month or so after that. This may mean we wouldn't travel until August, which would be a horrible time with Sharon and Nathan needing to start a new school year. Things could change, but the wait has been getting gradually longer and not shorter for over a year now. When we started, the wait was supposed to only be 18 months. It is now 37 months. This is somewhat sad news for us, but it does give us more time to save money and make other preparations.
