Taking care of Daddy
We often do not have anyone to watch Nathan during choir practice on Wednesday nights, so he often stays with us, mostly content to play with his Transformers on the floor, or draw on the dry erase board. Last night, Sharon decided to keep him with us during the prayer request time at the end, and it was then he wanted his daddy time. He crawled up on my lap, and begins to rub my face. "You're sweatty, Daddy." "Yes, I know, and I'm sure that everyone here can see that, too." I gently replied, to the general giggles of everyone. A few minutes later, another repeat observation "You've got a lot of sweat." "Yes, thank you." As the boredom continued to ensue, he began to sculpt my hair into various position that its dampness would allow. Even with the clown hair I now was displaying, it was still worth having the little guy in there for a few minutes of daddy time. Most Wednesday nights he's in bed by the time I get home. And, I think he was genuinely trying to take care of Daddy.
